What To Wear For Your Photoshoot…

Updated: Oct 17

Whether it’s a motherhood shoot with your newborn or family, or even a brand shoot. What you wear matters and here’s why.

Number one reason! What you wear is the difference between you feeling confident and making you feel relaxed or the complete opposite.

Why I recommend wearing neutral, and natural colours….

Have you ever looked back at pictures or magazine articles and you can date them just by what they are wearing. Those fashion trends which aren’t so trendy anymore? Well I want you to hang your pictures on your walls, look at them everyday and for them to not age. For them to still fit in your home in 10, 20, 30 years+ without you cringing at what you were wearing.

Another reason I opt for lighter fabrics and colours. Well it goes without saying, neutral colours flatter all skin types. They show of your true tones without that bright yellow shirt making you look jaundice, or dark colours making you feel washed out.

Avoid black. Black is meant to be flattering right? Well… erm… no. I use natural light where possible and large blocks of dark colours hide you. Particularly if you have dark hair too. I want to show you, not hide you.

So what’s the answer?

You know that dress you’ve been saving in the wardrobe for a special occasion? Well this is it! Your motherhood journey is your reason to wear the dress. Wear it proud because Mama, you’re doing amazing!

But I don’t have THE dress.

That’s ok too! Whether you’re a mummy to be with bump taking centre stage, or a postpartum mama who is still adapting to a gorgeous new chapter, I have the thing for you! Well actually, I have lots! I’ve grown a large collection of dresses and tops for all Mamas and littles so that you have one less thing to think about. You can arrive at the studio in your comfies, grab a brew and have a mooch through the gorgeous dresses and childrens collection.

BONUS!

Clients also have access to the client wardrobe IG account so they get a sneak peek before they arrive. You can even like (🖤) them so I know the styles you love and can help you pull together the most incredible family ensemble.

There’s more too! I’ve created a bespoke styling guide filled with ideas and considerations to avoid for your session to be perfect.
